On 15-17 March 2015 in Dusseldorf, Germany, Moldavian wines were presented at the European Exhibition of Wines and Spirits – ProWein 2015. 24 wine companies from Moldova presented over 250 wines and brandies at a common stand with an area of 150 m², branded wine country “Wine of Moldova. In the middle of spring, wine lovers are invited to the event that has already become a tradition – the Wine Vernissage, the 8th edition. In the evening of April 23, at 6 p.m., at the Republican Palace, come and choose your favorite wine from a “Spring Bouquet” of over 200 local seasonal, young or special reserve varieties of wines, which will be presented at the event.
The symbol of the Vernissage spring edition is the cherry flower, which represents the freshness, lightness and delicate savor of the rose, white and sparkling wines.
The wines will be presented by a record number of wine producers – over 30, and the program includes, besides wine tastings, master classes with renown sommeliers, suggestions from professionals and guiding in wine art initiation.
All the visitors will receive a glass with the “Wine of Moldova” logo, perfect for enjoying the taste and the aroma of the most select wines of Moldova: white, rose and sparkling wines.
The event is organized by the National Office for Vine and Wine in collaboration with the Association of Producers and Exporters of Wine, with the support of the strategic partner – the USAID CEED II project.
Wine of Moldova has won the admiration of the public at the exhibition “Made in Moldova”. For the first time, at the XIV edition of the event, 19 wineries and 6 brandy and cognac producers were present at the event with a joint stand, under the national brand “Wine of Moldova”. The participation of the wine companies at the exhibition was organized by the National Office for Vine and Wine, with the support of its strategic partner USAID within the project „Competitiveness Enhancement and Enterprise Development II (CEED II)”. The current edition of the “Made in Moldova” exhibition hosted over 200 businesses with individual or collective stands, the national wine stand being noticed and appreciated by the visitors.

During the exhibition, visitors were able to buy products at special prices at the NOVW stand. Approximately 2,000 bottles of wine, brandy and cognac, the value of which reaches 200,000 lei, were sold at the event.

To popularize wine culture and train consumers regarding quality products, on each day of the event there were organized master-classes and wine and cognac tastings sessions, together with experts from the Wine School: Sergiu Galusca, Elisaveta Breahna and Constantin Olaru. Around 120 visitors attended the tasting sessions of ONVV during the 4th days of the event. The most active participants have been awarded.
During the “Made in Moldova” exhibition, NOVW held a roundtable “Wine of Moldova. A legend alive – activities and prospects “, where the main results of the first year of operations and plans for 2015 were presented.

We are pleased to invite you to the National Wine Day, which is celebrated on October 4-5 in Chisinau on the Great National Assembly Square. Together, we will learn the culture, traditions and tastes of Moldovan wines, embracing a new legend of each drop.
The event will allow visitors to discover all the stages of winemaking, from growing the grapes to wine tasting, by attending special cultural and educational areas.
Area of knowledge (cultivation and harvesting of grapes). Visitors are invited to a wine school, where they will learn different techniques of wine tasting as well as get acquainted with the process of obtaining the Bacchus es’ drink.
In the area of crafts, visitors can not only see the process of the production of barrels, baskets, jars and other accessories related to the wine, but also to actively take part in the process, showing the true qualities of a Moldavian: courage and talent.

În perioada 7 -11 aprilie 2014, Oficiul Național al Viei și Vinului, reprezentanții asociațiilor IGP și Vice Ministrul Agriculturii și Industriei Alimentare, au efectuat o vizită de studiu în Austria, cu scopul de a lua cunoștință cu experiența și cele mai bune practici în dezvoltarea, promovarea și controlul sectorului vitivinicol al Consiliului de Marketing al Vinului Austriac.
